Meet PakRobo, Country’s first telepresence robot

Pakistan's Karachi:

A major advancement in healthcare and health education has been made with the creation of PakRobo, Pakistan's first domestic telepresence robot by a health tech business.

Thanks to a partnership between the health-tech platform Educast and the information technology company Innovate IT, medical professionals may now do live patient assessments virtually anywhere in the country using PakRobo.

Although the United States uses similar robots, their exorbitant cost is a barrier. On the other hand, the cost of the locally produced PakRobo is about Rs 300,000.

The robot notifies medical professionals of the current condition of patients thanks to its sophisticated sensors and communication capabilities. Medical personnel can communicate with patients and the paramedics who are accompanying them using PakRobo.

PakRobo is outfitted with a specialized laser and can move about freely.
